Artist's Comments

This was a project done in Painting I that involved using overlapping, diminishing size, and other things. Since I loved the broken color technique that I liked so much like I did with my Magica painting, I tried it out with this one.

It's based from a photo of Flamingos taken at Disneyworld Animal Kingdom in 2004. The flamingos in the photo were white, but I painted them pink instead. The little white birds are called Ibis if I remember right.

There will be four parts to this, as with the canvas being so bowed that the lighting would be off if I were to piece the four scans together.

This one is my favorite. The colors of the water are very pretty and once again, love the textures and brush strokes. I'd say these turned out well.
