When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Artist's CommentsPlease read before you favorite, thanks! Ever have an argument or debate with somebody, may it be involving some guy, or say like on good ol' DeviantArt with tracings, critiques or stolen artwork? Ever deal with somebody who either spats out back at you "Get a life!" or "You're just jealous!" (or as they say online, "git a lyfe" or "ur just jealus!") Ever get tired of that comment being used over and over as an excuse for poor behavior or something else? Over 9000 times perhaps? Ever get annoyed by someone spelling "jealous" wrong, or use "your" or "ur" instead of "you're" when they say it to you? How about "there" instead of "they're?" XD For example, you point out someone's tracing. Usually they abuse the comment system by hiding anything against their works and leaving open the comments of people praising it. I can give an example to a user from last year who was called out on tracing, and the personal fan army pulled out the usual "You're/They're just jealous" or "He/She is just jealous." excuse. You're probably thinking, "Why the hell would I be jealous? I have other things to worry about, like college!" The ones I really get annoyed at are the ones who tack "because they can't ______" after the jealousy retort. It's stupid. Recently, I came across a comment saying "You're just jealous because you can't draw and she can." Frankly, I could care less. A while back, a user on FurAffinity was called out for tracing. The user eventually complied, but one of the fans pulled the jealousy retort towards the group that called the tracer out. When I told this fan that I was apart of this group, he/she replied "I didn't say you were jealous. I said that they were jealous." Then that fan continued using that jealousy retort. Here's another example of the jealousy argument. I like reading anthromorphic novels, and not too long ago while looking for more to read, I came across a book listing of Swordbird on Amazon. It didn't get very many good reviews, and there was a post in the book's forum on how much the book sucked. Tweenies proceeded to bash the person with the jealousy argument. What's even more funny was that someone spelled jealous right but didn't get the you're/your word right. Thanks : iconujj1plz : : iconujj2plz : without the spaces. tl;dr: It's a stupid excuse. Knock it off. 11/08/09 - Okay since this is being faved a lot now, I have a small feeling. Some of you might understand the concept of my stamp clearly, but I feel that some of you either might've missed the point completely or like to abuse that drag and drop fav feature and not reading the entire thing. So just in case, here's some further examples: What this stamp is - Someone accuses you of being jealous, when you're not. - A friend tries to reassure the other friend involved that the offending party/individual involved is jealous, when they're not. - You have an art major and are giving a critique on a piece of art. Perhaps the anatomy is bad or it just needs some work done in it. Someone, either the artist or his or her friend, ignores your critique and comments "Well you're just jealous because you can't draw!" - You find a photography theif with a lot of watches and pageviews. You and a couple of friends find the original sources on flickr, and you call the thief out on it. Photography thief sends his or her mass army of fans after you, who are spewing out gull calls of "You're just jealous!" Some of the fans even their their Photography theif, "Just ignore them. They're just jealous." What this stamp is not - You're jealous of someone because he or she has gorgeous photography or art, and you wished you had the same artistic skill. - You're jealous of that boy or girl in high school who is currently dating your crush, or perhaps he or she is trying to get it on with your boyfriend or girlfriend. - You're jealous because your older or younger sibling is getting more attention than you are. - You're jealous of that one girl in the family who gets all the attention. She is a brat and she always finds away to get you in trouble instead of her. She also finds a way to make her parents believe that she is the little innocent princess and you're the evil child. - "Hehe I get that from a lot of people. They complain their art sucks because they're jealous of mine....." ~ Someone who commented on this deviation. :3 Please ignore any spelling and grammar errors I have above. |
